How often do I need an oil change?
With today’s modern lubricants, most engines have recommended oil change intervals of 5,000 to 7,500 miles. That can vary per driver, the vehicle, and the type of oil.
If your oil change light comes on
Change your oil as soon as possible. In more severe instances, your Check Engine light may come on to let you know your vehicle is at risk of engine damage due to low fluid levels or even a leak.
Other signs your vehicle needs an oil change include dark or dirty oil (you can check this by removing the dipstick from your engine), loud engine noise, or smoke coming from your exhaust.
